Obviously I meant European Parliament. If there were an Internet parliament we would see a lot less nonsense from people who don't have the least idea what they are doing.

I'm the WMF Strategy Liaison for Ohio Wikimedians User Group--many of whom are OSU students. What would you say is the best way that students and other "regular people" can contribute to the fight for free and open internet?

You are in part to blame. The second and third votes on the Directive passed but the first vote was stopped. The first vote was the only one in which English Wikipedia was blocked. Had English Wikipedia been blacked out this time, the Directive day would be stopped.

European parliament elections are in 2 months. One pirate was not quite enough to stop this madness, but she made them fight for it. This time let's send 10 or 100 pirates to the parliament and see what they can do. Whatever this parliament did, the next one can undo.
