I was going to stay out of this, but since you brought it up. I thought Larry had a fair and well-supported point that the NeverTrump right-of-center voices were overrepresented in big MSM, particularly the WashPost, NYTimes, MSNBC, etc. (1/2)

I don’t think that really fits
@JonahDispatch and@stephenfhayes because they’re starting their own media institution.1 reply 0 retweets 8 likes -
However the argument seems to be... “Don’t say anything bad about Jonah”. And that’s weird.

You know my biases, but from where I sit, the criticisms of Jen Rubin/Max Boot/Rick Wilson/Ana Navarro/Evan McMullin don’t fit Jonah/Hayes and I don’t think it is persuasive to shoehorn them into the same category.

The latter group makes arguments -- agree with them or not -- the former offers knee-jerk, hysterical pronouncements that have nothing to do with conservatism. (Sorry to butt in)

To me, the measuring stick is, has Trump ever done anything you agreed with, and when he did, how did you react? If you think of yourself as conservative, and can’t find _anything_ that you like, cheer, or thought was a good call, then you’re not really a conservative I recognize

Also butting in, Trump has done things I agree with and I defended him for them. But the point that anti-anti-Trump always ignores is that people like me think that no policy is worth the overall constitutional damage of Trump. I'll hang up and take my answer offline.

There is no candidate who is advocating for traditional conservatism, a restoration of checks and balances under the Constitution, or “a return to normalcy.” The options are pick the lesser evil, vote third party, write somebody in, or stay home.
