TSLA cars run on electricity. Isn't electricity generated from oil and nat gas? Kinda fossil.
-
In California, which is the lion’s share of Tesla’s (and where the cars are built), fossil energy is actually a minority of the electricity production. It’s mostly renewables and nuclear.

Thanks Jim! It is time to leave the fossils in the ground and invest in the future we want!

Is that b/c of where we are in the cycle, a moral/ethical thing, or what? Seems like petroleum is going to be around longer than this position view.
-
It will be around forever but if we continue to burn it we won’t, along with most other life on earth. We have to switch off or die. Long term bet on cleaner energy is a great investment strategy
