Re reporting rates; I feel like it’s important to note that the probability of an unreported recovery conditional on recovery is likely lower than the probability of an unreported death conditional on death.

The intuition being death is taken more serious after the fact. (“Those symptoms were bad, but they passed and you seem fine now so we will never know” vs. “This person passed away and we need to do an autopsy to figure out why.”)
