A shout out to all those 'celebrating' Labor Day by working on the holiday since the shitty $7.25 an hour their boss is paying them means they can't afford to miss any days of work, even the 'volunteer' ones.

I’m tired of that. Tens of millions of us have sacrificed greatly to get you guys elected. So enough bullshit. Don’t ask us for any more money or other assistance until you get off your asses and start fighting. If you want to get re-elected, start working for it. 11/11

The nation has been set ablaze by racism, corruption, and authoritarianism. We Dems have funded a great fire department. Yet when we point at the flames, they only shrug and tell us, “sorry, but we can’t help until we get more money for more trucks and people.” 10/11

But after we’ve worked so hard and given so much, being constantly told, “just work even harder and give even more” begins to feel like a shakedown. 9/11

I’m a long way from giving up. A LONG way. I realize that the system is set up to favor conservatives, though there are far more liberals. And, again, I realize that campaigns and action rely on incredible amounts of money. 8/11

When are we going to do something about passing a solid voting rights act? When are we going to actively discuss re-balancing the court system to match America? When are we going to do anything other than just endlessly tweet that we all need to work harder? 7/11

When will we see an angry, forceful response from Dem leadership about the Texas anti-choice law, or the hundreds of voter suppression laws enacted by Republicans, instead of a “we’re concerned, and will possibly look into discussing potentially forming a committee”? 6/11

When are violent and/or un-American miscreants like Greene, Boebert, Cawthorn, Gates, Hawley, Gosar, and others going to be reprimanded or removed? When is Dem leadership going to start treating photo-op DINOs like Manchin and Sinema like the destructive cancers they are? 5/11

We’ve seen some good things under Biden, and he clearly has his hands full. But many questions remain unanswered, and even un acknowledged. When are the 1/6 designers going to be called to the carpet? When are Trump’s finances going to be turned over? 4/11

It’s clearly not enough just to win elections. If that were true, we’d be seeing some real change and accountability. But instead, it’s only endless delays and waiting—and when we ask what’s the hold up, we’re met with shrugs, and politicians telling us we need to do more. 3/11

To put it mildly, we are in a deepening crisis. Yet after donating tens of millions last election cycle, and working our asses off day and night to get the best people in office, mostly what we hear now is excuses or, worse, crickets. I’m to the point I’m asking, why? 2/11

I realize political campaigns run on cash, and lots of it. Still, I can’t help but notice that I read FAR more DMs, TMs, tweets, emails, and posts imploring me to donate to this or that candidate than I do explaining just what that candidate plans to do once elected. 1/11
