Hey @YouTube ... you're still doing that thing where you show in my subscription feed channels I no longer subscribe to.
You won't show me all the content I WANT to see, but insist on showing me content I've chosen to no longer want to be updated about.
WTF. Seriously.

We'd like to help. Have you tried signing out and sign back in to your account to see if that fixes the issue? Also, could you send us a screenshot to have a closer look at this? Keep us posted.

Signing in and out causes no change. sometimes re-subscribing and de-subscribing again helps, but channels do seem to show up again from time to time. It's actually quite random. Attached are snips of my screen showing sub feed and a view of the subscribe button on that channel.pic.twitter.com/Xwz2vj3Qod

To remove such videos from recommendations, tap the 3 dot menu > Not interested > Tell us why. Doing this influences how YouTube suggests videos to you in the future. Here's an article that talks about managing them: https://goo.gl/kvNus3 . Hope this helps!

Been doing that. Will continue to. It's still not good that this shows up in subscriptions - not just regular suggestions - but it is removable. I'd still hope the team will look into subscriptions and make sure unsubscribe is actually removing them fully?

I had this problem too. Remedy was: go to "Channel list" page. Click "MANAGE". Find channel then slide left, then "UNSUBSCRIBE".
