Normally to the detriment of the target, though, and given the fact that Khashoggi was a legit target from the Saudi perspective, I intentionally avoid picking the side of "use of 0day for good". There is no use of 0day where all parties benefit.

Anyhow, my view is that in situation where one human inflicts harm on another, arguing that this inflicting of harm is "for the greater good" is normal. And yes, there are situations where 0day stops criminals & murderers from doing what they do. ...

so the suggested range extends far more to the left of "mild discomfort". There is a valid argument to be had over the commonality and extent of "good" vs. "evil" exploitation, as well as the subjective nature of this observation, but it plays a great part in my perception.
