I hate concluding. I just run out of steam and then I get to the end and stop. Editors have to remind me to write conclusions.
One of my idiosyncratic bad academic writing tendencies is an implicit desire to keep my main point secret until the end of the paper, where it will surprise and amaze my audience (who'd until then been kept spoiler-free). What are some of your bad academic writing tendencies?

Conclusions are overrated imo. Not always important (especially when they're mostly just a summary)
