    Gianforte assaulted a reporter. He and Scanlon then defamed and blamed the victim so they would win the election. Then G apologized after.

    Maybe Gianforte lost his temper and snapped. But I still haven't seen any explanation for this statement from his spokesman, Shane Scanlon.
