There was a Dem candidate very strong with Latinos but he was rejected by the old guard and donor class.

Um Bernie got absolutely creamed with Florida Latinos. I don't know why on Earth you'd bring him up as if he'd done better in Florida. I'm a socialist, a Mexican-American, & a Californian & just no. Bernie only got 22% of vote in Florida primary. US Latinos are not a monolith.

It’s not irrational for men and white people to vote for candidates who’ll preserve the benefits they enjoy as men and white people, any more than it is for rich people to support candidates who’ll look after the interests of the rich.
