As a retired teacher and Principal of public schools, I can say without a doubt that teacher unions are nothing but a political wing of the Democratic Party. The welfare of children is the last thing they are interested in. I have been there and witnessed it first hand.

When your union stopped representing the workers that’s when you members should’ve intervened. Now you can start your own union. You can run it the way you want it to be ran. Oh And how’s that pension going?

All unions are. My FIL (GOD rest his soul) told me once that even in his union at an asphalt company- they had posters all over the walls that said democrats are for the 'working people', etc. He was SO brainwashed. Good man, but brainwashed completely for the democrats.

Same thing applies to teacher unions in Canada. Many teachers are their because they love their job. The unions are there because they crave power and money.
