With all due respect Captain Goldbeck, Secretary Mattis did all he could during his time as Defense Secretary to try and keep Trump in line. He finally re-signed in disgust after Trump betrayed the Kurds. There was only so much Mattis could do in the chain of command.
Real moral courage would have been speaking up 3 years ago instead of lending your credibility to Trump.
