@BernieSanders proposed 100% renewable energy 4 electricity & transportation by no later than 2030 & complete decarbonization of the economy by 2050 at latest. That’s what I believe as well -& why I’ve proposed a piece of legislation that mandates DOD take the lead 2 get us there

This is consistent with the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change goals. But do we need an urgent citizens movement to build political will across the globe for faster action? Hell yes.

Then why not support total decarbonization by 2030? Wouldn’t it be better to aim for 2030 and not quite make it, than sit around for 15 more years with minimal effort and be 15 years behind schedule? We’d still be much further ahead than aiming for 2050. Yes?
