Today’s count was heartbreaking as always but also inspiring to see so many fellow San Diegans out before the crack of dawn to help collect the data that informs resources & services for our neighbors. Good to see folx from & & team.

This morning we gathered with volunteers at the @UnitedWaySD in Kearny Mesa for the annual @RTFHSD Point In Time Count. Thank you to everyone who turned up for this critical survey across the region. Our homeless crisis is staggering, and building homes is the only way to end it.

Growing up poor, all I had was the American dream. It kept me going: as a kid sleeping on the floor, a student scrubbing toilets, a Marine losing brothers in Iraq. Today, too many Arizonans see their dream slipping away. I’m running for the U.S. Senate to win it back for you!

BREAKING: We've introduced a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United and the irresponsible SCOTUS decisions that came before it. Unrestricted dark money has no place in our elections or democracy. We need to return power to people. Once and for all.

“Committee leaders [were]… reluctant to dig into the roots of domestic extremism taking hold in the Republican Party beyond former president Donald Trump and concerned about the risks of a public battle with powerful tech companies.”

Military theorists & historians have –in my view, incorrectly- concluded there are 2 types of strategy. One is annihilation & the other is attrition (or exhaustion). While these aren’t the *only* strategies, it's helpful to understand them to comprehend Ukraine right now.1/11

Missouri Republicans passed new rules: 1. Women lawmakers are banned from showing their bare arms. 2. Women lawmakers are required to cover their dress with a “second layer”. The road to the Handmaid’s Tale world is lined with people telling us to stop overreacting.

I cannot overstate how happy this makes me. The team has highlighted the need for this to the administration across several months and to see this coming to fruition through the incredible folks at is such welcome news. Thank you !

Did you know that @USCRIdc launched a 24/7 help line in December for Afghans who have recently been resettled through the Afghan Placement and Assistance (APA) Program? APA was a special program which helped Afghans who arrived here on Parole get access to resettlement benefits.

“Go yell at an M&M” is my new favorite retort to alt-right lunacy. 🙏

This morning the twins helped pick our their sweaters, scooted down the stairs, ran to their chairs, and sat at the table eating scrambled eggs with forks. They said "bye bye dada" on the way out the door. It's been 17 months. You need new material. Go yell at an M&M. twitter.com/FoxNews/status…

Massie: I implore my colleagues on the other side of the aisle to populate this committee with serious Democrats McGovern: I would say in response that he populates the committee with Republicans who did not ask for a pardon, who did not have their  phone seized by the FBI

“The Department’s longstanding policy is to decline to provide Congressional committees with access to open law enforcement files.” Sadly for Jordan, Gaetz, MTG, Perry, and others, no exceptions for the files of the investigations of members of Congress.

I am continually astonished by this man. How was he a 3-star? How was he the head of a major US intelligence agency? How was he national security advisor? He knows the truth and spews these lies. What makes a man like that turn on his country? Is it money? perceived power?

Michael Flynn today gave his assessment of Ukraine: “Russia has achieved all of their objectives, and they’re now exposing .. bio labs that have been in there sponsored by the US. The guy that just showed up to speak to our Congress in a sweatsuit should’ve been thrown out.”

The ’s handling of this demonstrates its bias toward misogyny - in some cases perpetuated by women (IE, SecArmy). Leadership was more concerned about the opinions of civilian men than the well-being of servicewomen. MG Donahoe displayed moral courage when others had none.
