To be clear: This is NOT evidence that vaccinations and masks are bad policy. More vaccinations and more masks mean less transmission and milder symptoms in breakthrough cases. If more people in Texas got vaccinated and wore masks, Rice would not be in this predicament.

I’m sure this won’t happen anywhere else -
I imagine that many schools will follow Trump's advice: If we don't test, we won't have many positive results.

How many bought fake vaccine cards?

Put it under the academic honor code, that would help.

#BreakthroughCOVID is responsible for ~25% of daily cases in#Ontario for people w/1 or 2 shots. The@CDCgov &@CDCDirector don’t seem to care about breakthrough cases that don’t result in hospitalization. They’re afraid of the embarrassment of having to backtrack their guidance.pic.twitter.com/kVVlttDhp8

That's because non-hospitalizations are not putting stress on public health infrastructure, and they have to worry about the people who are.

I also had a breakthrough case. I believe they are as of yet vastly under reported or underestimated.
-
That’s bc the CDC stopped counting non hospitalized breakthrough covid in early May while repeating they’re only .01% likely... they’re not undercounted, they’re deliberately NOT counted.
