        @jfpoole but do we know what carrier? screen brightness? signal strength? so, so many variables to control for in battery testing.

        @andrewwrites Lots of variables for sure.

        @jfpoole @AndrewWrites ah, but when we get to 220, or 2200...then things get interesting

        @aapltree @andrewwrites Our statistician thinks the number of data points we have (22) is sufficient to establish non unimodality.

        @jfpoole @marcoarment Can the GB battery test include Low Power Mode? Could that be difference?

        @mcphat @jfpoole @marcoarment Know it’s a small sample size but I’d be surprised if roughly half of the testers are doing low power mode.

        @eslivka Yeah, after digging into the results I don't think Low Power mode was turned on for most.

        @jfpoole are any plusses included?

      2. John Poole ‏@jfpoole 7 Oct 2015

        @nheagy No, it's just the iPhone 6s.

        @jfpoole When are you going to update the histogram with a few more measurements? Looks very interesting. Can you color by meta data?

      2. John Poole ‏@jfpoole 12 Oct 2015

        @cyrustabery I want to collect more data first. Samsung results outnumber TSMC results 4:1 at the moment.

      @jfpoole CPU portion of the SoC the biggest power drain for these tests, I assume?

      @jfpoole Dude, that looks like...banding. But I guess it couldn't hurt to have another 100 or so scores, eh

      @jfpoole my 6s battery life is appalling, and I've got the TSMC chip too! Thinking it must be an issue embedded in my backup..

      @jfpoole Macrumors says there is 3:1 or 4:1 split in TSMC:SAMSUNG SoCs in the 6s. Filter by the 6s and you should see diff height peaks.

      @jfpoole @macrumors hard to believe there's really this significant of a difference due to manufacturer w/Apple's strict contracts
