First off it depends on the Speccy. If it's a 48k it will need a composite just to get a signal you can work with. If its an RGB enabled...

...if it's an RGB enabled Speccy (+128, +2) then you will need a PAL to NTSC converter to hopefully get a sync. Not straightforward :(
