So for app metrics... why not just ping pages on a server and let Google Analytics take care of the rest? Simple, but surely with drawbacks?

@jfaulken Yeah, took a look a the SDK... seems reasonably painless, will likely go that route in this case. -
@madgarden they do a couple of things that I like, including having an API you can hit to pull down a ridiculous firehose of data.
