The inciting incident of GG was jealous ex-boyfriend, Eron Gjoni, making false accusations against his ex, Zoe Quinn.

What false accusations did he make? And when did Gamergate ever organize any targeted harassment?

I don't think Eron mentioned anything about positive coverage. He said she slept with multiple coworkers to advance her career. Those coworkers later admitted to the affairs along with Zoe.
