These people mock it because they probably live in places that they believe will be safe from towers.
I think a large amount of the crazy 5G conspiracies are coming from companies that are rolling out 5G, to make people with actual concerns over things that 5G will actually cause to look like like crackpots.
You only get a dangerous level of heating if you decide to deep throat a cell tower.
