ive tried ripping models from the original. there's no currently known method to get them
Damn...
Pretty much takes a specialized tool to convert them to proper models. A tool nobody has made... unlike JSRF which has tools for pulling models from in-game.

ACTUALLY~! there is one way, but its very inefficient. You can use ninjaripper on an emulator (i think, or the steam version). The problem is that the models are flattened. Its an easy fix, but there's another problem, it only gives you the part of the model that you can (1/2)

see in-game. even if you get an entire model that's been frankenstien'd together, its UV maps would be all messed up. its technically possible, but it takes a lot. (2/2)
