makes me a bit sad that I don't like thinking about how much I like Jet Set Radio because of how overbearing its fans have been a bit because I actually love the first game, even if it took me a bit to get used to the controls

probably something to do with you aggressively name searching and attempting to sic your followers on anyone who mentions the game negatively?

I get that, but you should understand that signal boosting people who have critiques or negative things to say when your following is majority people who are fans is going to make those fans argue with people who might not be, or even might be fans but not to the same level.
