The ‘HOVER: Revolt of Gamers’ title was changed to simply ‘HOVER’ just before console release?

It fits with the story of "All entertainment is banned and there's no fun allowed in our city!", but the subtitle isn't needed. The story isn't even a big part of the game. I find myself just skating, grinding, and hovering(?) around the city completing challenges and multiplayer
