Probably a dumb question but.... where does the password go in the perforce settings in Rider....

IDE will prompt you for a password when needed, not need to enter it in settings. But better use P4CONFIG. Is the P4CONFIG environment variable configured? If it was set while IDE is opened, try restarting the IDE
It can't find it for some reason ever since I reinstalled rider :(
Never being prompted for password, test connection shows "successful" but can't find P4CONFIG either and of course version control window is greyed out and inaccessible
