That’s not the right use of “inoculated” though. It means “to contaminate”, usually. Occasionally (kind of wrongly) “to protect”. Here he means to suggest almost “brainwashed against” or similar I guess.
True, but has been used interchangeably with vaccinate for years. Many people, myself included forget that vaccination is a process not a result

“To inoculate” strictly speaking is “to add bacteria/a virus etc to something”. In vaccines it is used to mean exactly the same since all vaccines were originally live. The brewers are totally correct.
