    A ruling is in: Motion to suspend enforcement of the no-gun policy is denied. Will pass along more details as I see them 08/25/2021 Order Denying Motion Index # 38

    While it could still come before gates open or is over, as of 4:45pm a Ramsey County judge has yet to rule on Fair's policy barring attendees from carrying guns. That's a status-quo outcome, although it's possible some gun owners could try to press issue on site.

    On the Gazelka thread: The GOP Senate Majority Leader amended that to "40-something days" when we talked yesterday. "I’m listening to the people of Minnesota at this point, and I'm not far from making a decision,” he said, adding that he wants to hear from people at the Fair.

    Gazelka said at the end of session he'd take 40 days to decide whether to run... Looks like things are moving along.... h/t

    Minnesota House is immediately reinstating its mask mandate in "any shared space in the [State Office Building] or space under House control in the Capitol. As in the past, you do not need to wear a mask if you are working by yourself in an office with the door closed."

    A gun owners advocacy group went to court Tuesday on behalf of a Twin Cities preacher and a longtime fellow gun rights advocate in hopes of forcing the Minnesota State Fair to allow permit-holding visitors onto its grounds while armed.
