Also concerned about this. Many are. Quite a few people hesitant about backing you because of it.

Have tried to include as many as poss, sorry I get millions of messages every day hard to see even a fraction. I was one of the MPs who wrote the report on improving trans rights.

There are legitimate concerns regarding a tweet Jess put out a while back - https://twitter.com/jessphillips/status/931093574011191296?s=19 … She appears to be supporting WPUK, which are very much an anti-trans organisation. Her support of LGBT+ education is appreciated, but not same as supporting trans rights

I find these demands completely reasonable. I know that we can have a solution & reasonable adjustment and a rhetoric that gives progress to trans people & protects women only spaces. https://twitter.com/Womans_Place_UK/status/931091440737939456 …

This is the only tweet I've seen personally. I've seen plenty of trans people and people with trans children/family who have concerns, so there may be other tweets that I've missed.

I helped write the document that demanded changes in self ID. I literally was part of the group of MPs who wanted change. Spousal veto for example is awful

It is not a spousal veto. Simply need to dissolve marriage so a woman not forced into a non hetero marriage against her will. And needs to secure her financial status as trans spouses often start to spend a lot of money.

Oh Jess. I really wanted to support you but if you’re throwing 51% of the population under the bus to get the votes of less than half of 1% of the population then you’re going to lose. @bindelj @janeclarejones @JeanHatchet @K_IngalaSmith

I suggest Jess that you ignore the mad world of Twitter and see what happened to Jo Swinson when she went down this route. It came up in every interview. Also reasonable to assume she lost women’s votes as a result.

Both parties have to sign a statutory declaration that they wish their marriage to continue. In what way is that a veto?

They can already get an interim GRC whilst married, which is basically the same thing. A wife cannot 'veto' it all.

I dunno, I think she's tried to create compromise. I think that's virtually impossible these days. The woke hate her, despite it all.
