    Last year 4800 women were turned away from a refuge due to lack of space. Victims deserve so much better.

    A little reminder that women in prison have mostly been abused before they get there

    A prison officer has been found guilty of misconduct after he demanded sexual favours from 12 female inmates in return for cell privileges. When women are abused by prison guards, what hope is there?

    Similar shoots of hope in our office. Bravo to the MP teams who are working around the clock to help people

    Small bit of good news. My office has been working to help an Afghan interpreter with U.K. forces. He had visa to enter U.K. but was unable to get into Kabul airport yesterday - beaten by Taliban using whips to force back crowd. Today he got through and is with British Army 🙏

    I was on holiday this week, granted I wasn't abroad but I have still managed to make phone calls and answer emails from desperate people terrified for their lives in Afghanistan. Raab is a disgrace

    Today’s recall of Parliament was one of the most moving and important debates I can remember. MPs (both Conservative and Labour) who served in Afghanistan spoke powerfully about our obligations. Not one MP - in over 7 hours of debate - spoke in defence of the government.

    Instead of telling us what everyone else said in the day's debate, perhaps Raab would do better to actually lay down his plans for the future of his utter balls-up.

    Wow Dominic Raab having a pop at Keir Starmer while he has done almost nothing to plan for what has happened in the last few weeks. While people are begging for help and the Taliban are parading in the streets, it's horrendously tone deaf.

    Dominic Raab shouted to Keir Starmer, "What would you do differently?" in regard to the crisis in Afghanistan. Starmer calmly replied, "I wouldn't have gone on holiday when Kabul was falling."
