the whole memespace around "infohazards" seems optimized for being fun like, you have dangerous forbidden knowledge that will drive people mad and so you need to create a secret cabal to gatekeep it (don't you want to be in on it too???)
and of course, the real infohazards (like, the things that actually fuck people up in the real world, not in Dark Fantasies) are things like trauma and political propaganda not really very fun in comparison
