Personally, I'd have the person have to kill the animal themselves. The deer I have personally shot and butchered are the freshest meat I've had. People have lost their connection to the food they eat, and this project would fix that.
Art project idea: a "Meat Is Murder" combined slaughterhouse/butcher/restaurant, where the rule is you must witness the killing of any animal you eat.

Everybody has their skill that benefits society. I could not do surgery, but I’m thankful that some people can. Also thankful others can stand to hunt for the benefit of my health.
