Ron DeSantis is revoking the liquor license of an Orlando venue following a drag queen show. That’s what happens in Florida when you do something that DeSantis doesn’t like, state power is weaponized to intimidate and censor you.

Make no mistake: today’s vote to remove from the House Foreign Affairs Committee is an insult to all refugees in this country. Not to mention the hundreds of thousands of constituents that she represents — including me.

As a refugee of the Somali Civil War, @Ilhan has lived through the devastating impacts of war. Her experience is important, her voice is powerful, and she's a valued member of Congress. The disrespect of McCarthy and his extremist supporters for Rep. Omar is obvious and shameful.
