The only thing this essay misses is that, as described by the Rolling Stone article, the gang rape was an *initiation ritual* for the frat.

And this isn't a one-off incident. I know of at least one other frat at a different university that used gang rape as an initiation ritual.

This is to suggest that the connection between the ideology of frats and organized/ritualized/glorified sexual violence runs deep.
