2/ I don't know enough about this particular situation to know what a fair resolution would be. I do know all the same errors I have seen in embarrassingly illiterate science reporting on biological sex EVERYWHERE are rearing their heads here.

Exactly my points but in the emotionally laden atmosphere here in SA at present, voicing this attracts labels of racism etc. I feel both immense admiration and pity for Caster... she’s case 1 in a new debate on gender and sport

It did say that it involved DSDs where the women—it didn't say Semenya specifically—have testes and male levels of testosterone. Not exactly true. The main initiator of testes formation is AMH ( really repressor of The female reproductive tract). It’s expression is linked to not only only testes formation but female fertility later in life.
