2/ The weirdest thing is two professional poets and editors (!!!!), for the sake of making their "crime" seem worse, pretending that there is no difference between using "disparaging language" to *attack* someone versus *to highlight their plight*. Self-stupefication!

3/ Probably obvious by now but I have a serious thing about editors not supporting writers after choosing to publish their work. This is just a really important principle of journalism/writing. Doesn't mean nothing should ever be corrected or retracted, of course, but still.
