Sure he could have helped probably...But the dude was terrorizing Gotham and not worth the risk...thats how I see it anyways.

Well batman is a vigilante...You could charge him for that alone. I just couldn't see a guilty conviction for murder lol.

Definitely a good point. Pretty much everything Batman does is illegal by definition.
