I think it’s entirely ok to like and have a good time at #RiseofSkywalker but also realize what cool things #TheLastJedi tried to do. I feel like this movie really forced me to look at that closer than ever.pic.twitter.com/O9mnUdaQUE

I don't like Last Jedi on it's own merits, not judging it against The Force Awakens or any other movie. It seems Skywalker was always destined to be automatically judged in defence of The Last Jedi, not on it's own merits.

I feel like the way TROS directly references TLJ so many times (by undoing plot points) makes it virtually impossible to judge it on its own merit.

The same be said about TLJ. It undid the major TFA plot points. Luke literally threw away the cliffhanger, Snoke was thrown away, Rey's parents were no-one & Rian walked just away from it. (Please don't take any of this the wrong way. I'm jazzed to be talking about Star Wars!)pic.twitter.com/nwlG1NNGH2

Agreed friend. Appreciate your point of view. Yeah and I agree with you! TLJ did I do tons of stuff TFA did (haha and that bugged me about it!) same deal here I guess.

Shou touts for TLJ tho. The Kylo/Rey Dark Side/Light Side relationship was amazing, the most compleing relationship in all the trilogies. Setting up 'ForceTime' so they could interact throughout the movie. The visuals, especially the splashes of red. Most of the third act.

And the purest example of a Jedi Master using the Force for defense we saw in the entire sagapic.twitter.com/0EIqPmbOIZ
