I understand they lack the dramatic flare of of Mad Max BRUTAL BATTLES FOR DWINDLING GASOLINE RESERVES!!!, but. Bikes are easier to maintain/repair than combustion engines. And the technology to start making NEW bikes wouldn't be so daunting to relearn. SO WHERE ARE THE BIKES.
