I was bummed that Jon didn't interact more with Ghost but I kind of read that scene as a way to show that he knows he's not really a Stark anymore and he's also going to get killed so he wants Ghost to go to a nice home

What irritates me about that is that he IS a Stark, his mother is a goddamn Stark. He is just as much of a Stark as he ever was, but through his mother's line. But of course that doesn't matter to GOT.

Ghost got Tormund in that deal c’mon that’s a step up compared to how Jon has neglected him the last few years
