It’s time to legalize low-impact, affordable housing options in WA state. Our housing crisis requires a statewide response & allowing duplexes, triplexes & quads is a common sense solution.

This needs to include a removal of setbacks for everyone when it’s enacted!

I live in a fourplex in a neighborhood of mostly single-family homes. We aren't on fire and Hell hasn't oozed up from the sewers like they told us it would.
Allowing low-impact multi-family is a responsible way to add growth in communities and help alleviate housing insecurity.

Thank you for working on this! Please write to law to go into effect immediately, without cities needing to pass implementing policies (because many will delay & find loopholes to avoid the intent of the bill).

California's already taking statewide action to tackle the nationwide housing crisis. The same should be for Washington state as well.

gonna need another solution for much of king county because lege and cities have delayed action so long, land costs are now too high for even 4plexes to pencil

we're beyond point of 4plexes in single family zones as a means towards affordable housing.
that juncture was in late 70s, when city looked at legalizing missing middle affordable housing in seattle's vast single family zoned landscape. homeowners got that killed. or 90s UV plan

I hope you will also take a very critical look at recently enacted anti-landlord laws that unfairly disadvantage small mom & pop would-be landlords & discourage them from even getting started. Seattle, King County, and the state need to roll back those barriers to small operators
