We are leading on this fascinating and important story from ⁦@ChrisDYork⁩ today about how a group of British academics have been used by Russia to help them deny war crimes by the Assad regime at the UN. It’s quite a tale - please give it a read.https://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/the-useful-idiots_uk_5e2b107ac5b67d8874b0dd9d …

A European diplomat told us these lecturers from UK universities were either “unwittingly and naively acting as agents of propaganda for the Russians, or actively support[ing] Russian disinformation”.

Amnesty International told us: “The millions of Syrians whose lives have been devastated by years of barrel bombing, chemical weapons attacks, imprisonment, torture and killing deserve genuine truth and justice, not this squalid propaganda.”

Every time @ChrisDYork reports on this group of individuals he is subject to abuse online, including being called complicit in war crimes, something I am also accused of by their supporters. We won’t stop reporting on stories like this when they need to be told.

Fair enough. And we wont stop calling out your either unwittingly & naively acting as agents of propaganda for the US, UK, Saudi & Turkish regimes or actively supporting their disinfo in defense of their aggression, military occupation, jihadi proxy war & war crimes against Syria

Obviously, you are parroting war propaganda while pretending you’re doing the opposite because of a mix of ignorance and passive acceptance of US gov’t and pro-war western NGOs narratives. Will you question your version of the Douma OPCW scandal and the White Helmets one day?pic.twitter.com/bXzl8XProm

Not a chance. HP will faithfully tow the UK establishment line like they've done with all such issues, the Skripals for one. Any real journalist would have investigated and questioned not just the holes in the Russian narrartive, but the UK one too. HP didn't.

OPCW have not stated the cylinders were dropped by aviation nor definitely linked any toxic substance to the 2 containers, both remain possibilities. I believe @ClarkeMicah may have press info from OPCW confirming what I say.pic.twitter.com/3qUNoc8jYQ

The abuser is Chris York, who permanently attempts to discredit academics. What does he expect? That everyone stays silent in the corner and take his smears for granted?

Notice how Ian Henderson's name doesn't even get mentioned. Or his appearance at the UN Security council meeting.

Calling respected academics "useful idiots" in its headlines only proves how low the HP is willing to stoop. No wonder that more and more people are turning their back to the MSM.
