A few commenters accused me of pandering with the whole transphobic/homophobic point. I highlighted a common criticism of the film, I never stated my perspective on the matter. The fact I have to clarify this is what's wrong with the internet. Politely fuck off.

Also my perspective: I don't think it was intentional and the purpose was comedic effect. Taste dependent. People, however, who think these issues can't be discussed and to "lighten up", fuck you for perpetuating the problem with society.
