in the video i say the best thing i’ve learned is to consider audience when you’re designing, as the purpose of the art direction is to work alongside story and gameplay to make the player feel certain ways and i do think this applies in a professional context!

but if you’re young, aspiring, or doing personal work, i actually think it’s the opposite if you’re drawing just for you, you should draw what you want! follow your heart, i mean it!

when you draw what you love, youll enjoy the process more and improve more easily, and your style will naturally have its own unique flavour, honed through your personality and taste
