just to be clear: I think the original pokémon designs that apply sexual dimorphism are usually great, they really follow a biological logic I'm just Still Mad™ at that horrible horrible thread

That was infuriating! Especially the reptiles, where frequently the females are bigger and tougher than the males! There’s loads of rad inspiration out there, why would you be boring and apply outdated human ideas of gender to fun fantasy creatures

btw I was studying about reptiles and male lizards are usually bigger than females - female snakes and turtles, however, are bigger I’ll probably reverse this in my comic and make lizard-like pokemon have bigger females while female snakes would be smaller
