You seem to be very invested in this now. Is there a reason you don’t agree that nearly all surgeries must wait to ages >16-18+? What’s the number of surgeries occurring below that?

For the sake of consistency, I think that if you can sign up for war, you should be able to request these surgeries. For the doctor, it should be treated with the same gravity as euthanasia. It's not taken nearly seriously enough. I hate to ask for laws but guardians are failing.

To clarify. Nearly all of these surgeries are performed for what we would consider consenting adults. Is that not the case? There are many people making a big deal out of this in the same way they attacked gay marriage, for political gain. (Same people too)

I wouldn't consider them consenting. Also, I wouldn't consider 18 yos signing up for war to be consenting either but they're probably more consenting than 18yos going for irreversible surgery on their reproductive parts given the grooming, indoctrination and social consequences.

So what age would you allow someone else to make life altering changes? This isn’t a very libertarian point of view. Seems more authoritarian.

If you can do it to yourself, go for it. The question is more about consent, the moral duty of the doctor getting paid to do it to you. You can't do these operations on yourself. I'm not saying it should be prohibited in 100% of cases but probably close. Drs have taken an oath.
