People saying this disproves the “good guy with a gun” theory. Sounds like the cops stopped the good guys from going in, which is just argument for even more civilian carry. Kids probably written off as casualties better attributed to gunman than friendly fire in rescue attempt.

The more we learn about the police's performance during the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, the more troubling questions and issues arise. The worst is why police didn't immediately breach the room where the students where killed. THREAD (1/8):

Texas already has unrestricted carry - you don’t need a license or anything, and you can carry concealed pistols, all legal, it didn’t help.

The argument I’ve heard is that if all the parents had been carrying AR-15s that the cops wouldn’t have been able to stop them from going in to save their kids. Would they have been able to? Probably not but we’ll never know. An adult with a katana could take a class of 10yos.

Jesse come on man… Also painfully obvious its too easy for a severely mentally ill person to get an Ar. Solution is clearly not every person should have an AR in case.
