I heard you need to have proof of vaxx to enter the US by air as a non-resident/non-citizen. I thought this can't be true given that we can fly freely inside the country without a test or mask. Anyone know if this is true? Are there hidden exceptions (like negative test)?

"Why would the country want to accept tourists without the vax" -- because a negative test is all that matters for reducing risk of spread, and vaxxed actually present higher risk of overrunning medical facilities with blood clots, death and other F'd up side effects of the vax.

Everyone I know from Canada. No exceptions aside from saying you had Covid to get around negative test if continuously testing positive. Have to show to airline at checkin, some at customs also (might be rare). Vaccines and negative tests.

Was in Dubai last March. Flying back into the US, the CDC required proof of a negative test from a licensed facility one day before departure. I only needed proof of vax or negative test to fly into Dubai. Had I tested positive, I would’ve had to delay my flight back home
