I heard you need to have proof of vaxx to enter the US by air as a non-resident/non-citizen. I thought this can't be true given that we can fly freely inside the country without a test or mask.
Anyone know if this is true? Are there hidden exceptions (like negative test)?

Yeah, I checked the CDC website. I'm asking because, historically, they have buried exceptions and made extremely convoluted, vague, ambiguous statements about what is actually required. They make lists and don't say if you have to satisfy all of them or only one of them, etc.

"Why would the country want to accept tourists without the vax" -- because a negative test is all that matters for reducing risk of spread, and vaxxed actually present higher risk of overrunning medical facilities with blood clots, death and other F'd up side effects of the vax.

this is half true, you need to sign a cdc declaration stating you are vaxed, HOWEVER no one asks to see it.
