The extra messed up thing is that the Fed, through its willingness to print, enabled/made viable the failed policies that destroyed our economy and caused untold damage to our children and mental health. Without the money, we’d have been forced to take Sweden’s reasoned approach.

Congress, under both Trump and Biden, spent $7 trillion we didn’t have, in the name of COVID. There wasn’t $7 trillion available to borrow, so of course we printed trillions of dollars. Anyone who is telling you this didn’t cause inflation is either ignorant or lying.

Inflation is the most insidious form of taxation, as it disproportionately affects the poor working class. Just another consequence of centralized power.

But how much of the stimulus money did recipients use to buy #Bitcoin, cryptocurrencies, and NFTs? Would the cryptocurrency industry be better off without these new retail customers and their cash liquidity?

Surely, they have moved us closer to hyperbitcoinization. Such a high price to pay though. We could have made our way on a slightly slower timeline without all the misery.

It's complicated though. The US bankrupted itself fighting communism in the 50's and 60's. Without that the world would look much different to today, and not for the better.
