Blocking trade with Russians is bad. Russians aren't going to rise up stage a coup. What's going to happen is everyone who relied on international trade -- artists, devs, lawyers -- will become dependent on the state, maybe even take jobs supporting the invasion in order to eat.

I wonder how much of this is sound and strategic actions rather than moral grandstanding. Many famous people also called for boycotts from coke and Spotify like somehow robbing people of drinking a soda and listening to the newest bangers on the internet could spark a revolution

So dumb. If you want to attack the Russian economy, you want them importing junk as much as possible. Russians spending their savings on Swedish entertainment services and US diabetes-inducing bioweapons should be seen as a good thing for the opposition.
