Blocking trade with Russians is bad. Russians aren't going to rise up stage a coup. What's going to happen is everyone who relied on international trade -- artists, devs, lawyers -- will become dependent on the state, maybe even take jobs supporting the invasion in order to eat.

Cuba didn’t coup because they actually had a good leader initially and they supported his rise, same as Korea. But in Putin’s case, if sanctions go down quickly there is chance of coup because he can’t control it all; if they go down slowly, it becomes impossible to coup.

How do you know it is unsupported by the population? You can't rely on West media, they don't say the truth, neither the east. Hard to know.

Russians are not as isolated from the west as is North Korea or Cuba. Families living across borders nowadays give a wider insight and communication channels of what life is like in a free nation such as Ukraine.

More so than others, but today Cubans are very aware about how life is 90 miles north.

And you seem to think we could simply offer all college educated citizens of working age in NKorea a ticket & free residency and their govt would simply let them emigrate? People risk their lives trying to escape Cuba & North Korea. They do not have free emigration.
